Theater Lessons / Acting Lessons

Fort Bend theater Lessons Theater Arts education enhances skills in all the Performing Arts. Ft. Bend Music Center offers three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. This division works with the other departments providing the student with the opportunity to study stagecraft, theater literature and acting. Sessions are 8 weeks. Performance will be the 9th lesson.

Acting: Improvisation, Scene Study, Monologue.

Play writing: Students will compose monologues or, Students will compose one-at plays in which students will act.

Stagecraft: Movement, Fight Scenes, How To Fall, Stage directions-Blocking, Do's and Don'ts

Private Theater Lessons

Because of the nature of theater, Musical Theater is best taught in group lessons. In addition to the group class, however, a student may also benefit from private lessons in a single discipline: singing, acting, and drama. Students usually take a private lesson in one of the disciplines each semester, in addition to their group class.

Group Theater Lessons

Classes are grouped by age and musical/acting experience. Beginning students will learn the basics of acting, singing, drama, stage presence, pacing, and voice projection. In addition to these, Intermediate and Advanced students will also study advanced vocal technique, acting, and choreography. Students will also learn Physical comedy, pantomime, stage direction and and stage movement, which are integral parts of theater arts.
