Doug Magness

Featured Guitar Teacher at Fort Bend Music Center

Doug Magness was born in Ft. Worth, TX. When he was 11, he took his brother Bruce’s guitar, took a few lessons, and never looked back. While attending Texas Tech in Lubbock, he started playing in several regional touring club acts. In 1978 he moved to Houston to follow his musical dreams.

Doug plays a variety of musical styles from the Beach Boys through the Beatles to ZZTop and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Doug loves to teach in any of these styles. He teaches advanced guitar only.
