Mitch has received his BA from University of Houston. Enhancing his major, he took courses in integrating music into a classroom setting, as well as early childhood education.
Mitch’s hobbies are composing music (both lyrics and music) and playing the guitar. Outside of music, he also loves movies and video games.
Mitch has been making music since he was a small child. He plays Bass guitar, Guitar, Trumpet, and also loves to sing. He is currently learning to play the Harmonica!
Mitch loves Classical, Jazz, Rock, and even Hip-Hop music. He enjoys listening to Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Perez Prado, The Beatles, and Clap your Hands Say Yeah.
Mitch received the Louis Armstrong Award for Trumpet Performance. He was in All Region and All District Bands and Jazz Region Bands throughout his High School years. Eight times he was awarded Class I, Division I, in Trumpet at UIL Solo and Ensemble contests.
Mitch was taught for Ft Bend Music Center for 4 years. He loves teaching, especially beginners and intermediate levels. Parents of his students say that his patience and his ability to teach both aural and kinetic learners are prime reasons for his success with these groups.
